Greatham Creek

Greatham creek is a tidal creek and one of the last remaining large saltmarsh areas in Teesmouth. It is good area for migrating birds and is now used as a hauling out area for the seals that are resident in the Tees estuary. A large range of species have been seen in and around the creek over the years. Little Egret is a species which is now a regular visitor as well as a variety of waders utilising the mud to feed or rest on the saltmarsh.
